In 2013 Horsham North Kindergarten will offer 3 and 4 year old kindergarten programs:
4 year old kindergarten will operate 4 groups of 9 children who will attend on a rotational basis - each group will attend 3 x 5hr sessions per week - 15 hours in total for each group on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 9am - 2pm. Fees for this group will be $330 per term - fee subsidy is available for families holding a health care card, pension card or when other specific conditions apply. Educators for these groups will be Gabrielle Mills (teacher), Mel Cockroft(assistant), Sonia Albanese (assistant) & Riona Reynolds (additional assistant).
3 year old kindergarten will operate for 3 hours per week on Wednesday mornings from 9am - 12noon. Fees for this group will be $240 per term - 3 year old kindergarten does not attract any government funding and all costs must be met by fees. Fee subsidies are available for children from Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds and for families known to child protection. Educators for this group will be Gabrielle Mills (teacher) and Janelle Hopper (assistant). Mel Cockroft will work with this group during the relocation period.
Please note that in 2013 Horsham North Kindergarten will benefit from a major refurbishment to provide improved facilities. During term 1, programs will operate from The McPherson Street Kindergarten which is located behind the Lutheran Church office on the corner of McPherson and Baillie Street.
